The victory in front of Lilcora opened Olimpia's way to the Cup's quaterfinals
On Wednesday, the 30th of September, Olimpia assured its place in the Moldavian Cups' quaterfinals.
Our opponent was Lilcora, a team performing in Divsion A.
Nicolae Bunea brought the following players on the field: goalkeeper - Nicolae Zbarah, defenders - Alexandru Cheltuială, Sergiu Gusacov, Andrian Sosnovschi and Vitor Verbeţchi, central midfielders- Ibrahim Kamara and Julius Adaramola, right midfielder - Andrei Tcaciuc, left midfielder - Vladimir Droni, forwards - Sergiu Griţuc and Gheorghe Ovseanicov.
From the very minutes the difference between the playing level became evident. Lilcora is a good team, with experienced but aged players.
Our team controlled the whole first half.
In the 5th minute of the game, Tcaciuc sent the ball to Vladimir Droni, who afterwards sent it far above the posts.
In just a minute, Gheorghe Ovseanicov missed again a good chance to score. In the 9th minute, Griţuc did not catch the frame of the posts again.
The guests became really dangerous just in the 27th minute. Cojusea was left alone with Zbarah. Our goalkeeper managed to catch the ball.
The next goal phase belongs to the pair Adaramola and Droni. The goal came in the 30th minute. Alexandru Cheltuială sent powerfully the ball towards the posts, and the goalkeeper, rejecting wrongly the ball, allowed Sergiu Griţuc to score for 1-0.
Vladimir Tanurcov was the most energic player among the opponents. He was the one to lead the forward line of Lilcora.
The second goal came in the 35th minute. Droni sent the ball on the right side, Ovseanicov sent it further to Burgiu, who did not hesitate and scored for 2-0.
The hosts went to the locker-rooms in a perfect mood.
After the break, Adaramola was replaced by Oleg Şişchin.
In the 52nd minute of the match, Griţuc, and then Andrei Tcaciuc missed the chance to increase the result on the table.
In the 61st minute the guests reduced the difference. Donici was the one to score. The goal did not improve the guests' performance. It looked like they did not even want to draw.
Bunea made some changes. Robence replaced Tcaciuc, while Somide came out instead of Griţuc.
Immediately, the young footballer had some good opportunities to score.
In the 77th minute, Tanurcov checked Zbarah, who proved to be good at his job.
In the additional time, Sergiu Gusacov sent the ball back to very careless, but Zbarah was there not to allow the mistake to happen.
2-1 and Olimpia is qualified in the Cup's quaterfinals. Our team's next opponent is Zimbru.
The double matches will be played on the 22nd and 28th of November.
