Olimpia claim another victory in National Division

Jean Jerome Robens became the hero of the 26^th round match against Costuleni. The goal of the American player gave the team four points and helped Olimpia to firm up their position in the fourth spot of the standings.

Despite the reshuffles in FC Costuleni in this winter off-season, the team is still in a crisis. Only a miracle could have helped the Ungheni-based team to take at least one point in the game against Olimpia.

The Red-and-Whites were dominating from the starting whistle till the dying minutes of the match. But Olimpia converted their dominance into just one goal though there were plenty of chances near Livșiţ's goal.

The first set piece almost became fatal for Costuleni. Ternavschi sent a pass from the penalty area to Kamara but the Guinean midfielder somehow missed the goal.

Then the Ungheni-based team was saved by Olimpia's forward Gheorghe Ovseannicov. Adaramola got into a scoreable position in the box and fired a shot into the unprotected corner but the ball hit our striker at the goal line.

In one of their rare counterattacks, Costuleni even managed to score a goal. After receiving the ball from the wing, strong-armed defender Cabac beat his opponents in the box and the ball rebounded to Ciuico who fired it in. However, the goal was disallowed because of the home team's foul in the attack.

In the end of the half, Olimpia managed to slot the ball into Livșiţ's net. Robens unexpectedly redirected Donovan's left-wing pass and steered a header into the net (0-1).

The Olimpians kept dominating in the second half but the score line remained intact.

It is noteworthy that Olimpia will face Costuleni again in the 27^th round match on March 17 according to the MFF schedule.
